Welcome to my Shivers page. I hope you find all that you need. If you need more help or just wish to discuss something, feel free to e-mail me. Unfortunately, the Pot/talisman location page and Ixupi hiding spot location page are (hopefully temporarily) on hold.

Thanks for visiting. My counter is gone, but a lot of people have come here, believe me.

Gazebo Puzzle (gear puzzle)

The number you must enter is 029, as it was in the mailbox (I apologize for the 023 erroneously placed here before. 'Twas a goof on my part). To solve the inner part, however, imagine the gears are numbered like below:
      1      2      3      4

              5      6      7      8

Then move 5->1, 3->5, 7->3, 4->7, 6->4, 2->6, 1->2. Pull the lever. Back to Top

Clock Tower Puzzle (tower)

The clock is supposed to be set to 5:30, but its not that easy. On your way up to the clock you may have noticed two sets of chains in the wall. If you go to the set closest to the top, you will be able to pull the chains. Although there is some system to how they work, the easiest way is the following:

Chineese Checkers Puzzle!! (base of animal statue, burial rites room)

Finally, a working solution. Here it is: start in the upper left-hand corner, number the squares from 1 to 33 (the first row is 1-3, the second is 4-6, the third 7-13, and the red square is 17). Make these moves:
5 to 17, 12 to 10, 3 to 11, 1 to 3, 18 to 6, 30 to 18, 27 to 25, 13 to 27, 24 to 26, 22 to 24, 27 to 25, 31 to 23, 16 to 28, 33 to 31, 4 to 16, 31 to 23, 7 to 9, 10 to 8, 21 to 7, 7 to 9, 24 to 10, 10 to 8, 8 to 22, 22 to 24, 24 to 26, 19 to 17, 16 to 18, 3 to 11, 11 to 25, 26 to 24, 29 to 17

Voila!! A special thanks goes out to all who helped by submitting a solution!!

Picture Puzzle (hallways, second floor)

The picture is easy, except you may have one tile come up wrong. To fix this do the following: We'll call the problem tile tile #1. Pick two other tiles (#2 and #3). Switch #1 and #2, then switch back (so they're in their original posistions) and rotate once. Repeat this with #1 and #3. Then switch #2 and #3 and switch back, rotate three times and voila! Elevators

The pictures have to be diagonal from upper-right to lower left. If you can't do it, close it and reopen it. It will have changed. Back to Top

Skeleton dials

Here's what to do: Look at the museum brochure (if you missed it, click here) and note the colored skulls next to exibit names. Go to the exibits and set that color to the dial (purple can look kinda blue on the dials). Then, go the the puzzle room. The monster skull dial should turn if you've got them all set. The room contains the museum's "greatest secret". Back to Top

Fortune Teller puzzle

Wanted to say thanks to Justin De Angelo, who got me started with the first part. To solve the riddles:
  1. After getting the first clue from the fortune teller ("when earth is aligned...") go to the planetarium and look toward the sun. Slide mars and venus into alignment with earth. A message will apear about a Norse God.
  2. Head to the Room of the Gods. Click on the coffin next to the chariot. It says the answer is on page 17 of the Egyptian Hieroglypics book. The page is torn.
  3. --NOTE: To continue, you must have 9 Ixupis-- Go to the basement power room. Find the switchboard (which is now open) Hit the middle switch twice. --WARNING: Don't do this immediatly after eating-- Grab the page. It says "A... punishment ... relinquish your head".
  4. This is nothing to lose your head over, but someone else might. Head to the death room (Man's Inhumanity To Man room) and go to the guillotine. Use it.
  5. If you have solved the skeleton dial, the symbol will look familiar. Go to the picture (it's now red) and click it. Get ready for a wild ride.

Congratulations!! Now all that you have to do is return to tha basement and nail the Electric Ixupi!! Back to Top

Winning the Game

Ahh, so you've got nine Ixupi's and don't know what to do? Solve the fortune teller puzzle above, and you will find the pot to the electrical Ixupi. He is the final Ixupi, and you will meet up with him in the basement, at the museum's power generator. Capture him, and it's all over. This will also open the panel by the library (So don't ask how to open it!)

FAQ

How do I know which pots go to which Ixupi?

Each pot and talisman has a sybol on it. These symbols are listed in the book South American Pictographs. Match the element in the book to the Ixupi (i.e. dead tree is wood therefore look for wooden boards or statues)

How do I assemble pots/catch the Ixupi?

You can carry one pot or one lid at a time. If you are holding a pot and find a matching lid, clicking on the matching lid will cause the game to put the lid on your pot. This also works backwards (i.e. You are holding a lid and find a pot). The assembled pot can now be used to catch an Ixupi. To catch an Ixupi, find one of it's hiding spots. They hide in something of their element, i.e. Ash hides in the fireplace (To figure out the element, see above). If you've noticed, the Ixupi "gathers" before it attacks. This is when you see little specs flying around where the Izupi will appear. When it begins to gather, click the assembled pot and then click on the little specs. The Ixupi will appear and then get sucked into your pot. Your life essence will most likely get restored a little at this point and the pot will move on to your bar.

Hints: The locations of the individual Ixupis are determined each time you enter a room. For example, lets say we are trying to catch the Ash Ixupi. Now, this little guy sometimes hangs out in Windlenot's office. Entering, we find that he is not in the fireplace (the Ixupi music doesn't play). Exiting the office into the lobby and then re-entering the office, we find that he is now hanging out in the fireplace. This works, although it may take a few enters and exits to get the little guy.

Where do I find books?

Most books are in the library to the right of the Candlelabra (planets, pictographs, ixupi, unexplained). The Egyptian Hyroglyphics book is on the body to the left of the entrance to the underground lake (from the hallways beneath the stonehenge). Windleknot's scrapbook is in his desk in the office, his diary is in his room on the table, and Merrils diary is in the burial rites room.

Windleknot has a bedroom?

Click on the wall carpet to the left of the door from the office to the museum.

How do I open the doors with the skulls and the hands on them?

They aren't doors.

Is there a museum map anywhere?

In the underwater room, solve the globe puzzle.

Homepage is under construction (being redone), but you can go there anyways.
